Denso and Fuji Electric join forces to strengthen semiconductor supply chain and promote the develop
Recently, Denso Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Denso") and Fuji Electric Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Fuji Electric") jointly launched the "Semiconductor Supply Guarantee Plan", which has been approved and officially launched. The total investment scale of the plan is 211.6 billion yen, including 70.5 billion yen in special subsidies, aimed at further strengthening the stability of the supply chain through technological upgrades and production capacity improvements of silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors to better meet market demand.
According to the plan, Denso will be responsible for the production of SiC wafers at Da'an Manufacturing Institute and promote the manufacturing of SiC epitaxial wafers at Xingtian Manufacturing Institute; Fuji Electric relies on its Matsumoto factory to carry out the manufacturing of SiC epitaxial wafers and SiC power semiconductors. Both parties will continue to promote the widespread application of power semiconductor technology in the industrial chain through joint layout, providing stable technical support for the new energy field.
