The 110 kV Vanadium Flow Shichengzi South Energy Storage Power Station in Hami, Xinjiang is located in the Shichengzi Photovoltaic Industrial Park in the north of Hami City, and is led by the Northwest Institute of Electric Power Construction of China as the general contractor. The project covers an area of 38150 square meters and is the first all vanadium liquid flow energy storage project in Hami region, as well as an important hub for Xinjiang's power transmission.

The project has an energy storage capacity of 100 MW/400 MWh and is equipped with one 110 kV substation. A total of four collection lines are connected to the 35 kV busbar side of the newly built 110 kV substation.

After the completion of the project, the annual rechargeable capacity will be 146 million kilowatt hours, and the discharge capacity will be 98.55 million kilowatt hours. It can provide stable and efficient power regulation support for Xinjiang's power transmission, reduce the power limitation rate of photovoltaic power stations, further optimize the operation structure of the power grid, and provide important support for the consumption of new energy and the stable operation of the power grid in Hami.
