Exploring new forms of vanadium lithium combined energy storage

In response to the challenges posed by the increasing demand for electricity and the acceleration of new energy grid integration, the Hebei Provincial Government has issued a series of independent energy storage policies. In the past, lithium batteries dominated energy storage, but vanadium flow energy storage, as a representative of long-term energy storage, is receiving more attention. Due to factors such as cost, technological maturity, efficiency, and lifespan, vanadium lithium combination has become a new type of hybrid energy storage form that is being explored in the industry.

As the first vanadium lithium combined energy storage power station in Hebei region, the project has a total installed capacity of up to 110MW/240MWh, consisting of 100MW/200MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage and 10MW/40MWh scale all vanadium flow battery energy storage. Fully explore the advantages of combining two technologies, combining the long lifespan, low cost, and high safety of vanadium flow energy storage with the high specific power, high energy density, and fast response advantages of lithium battery energy storage, to better meet the requirements of the power system for energy storage systems.

PowerTitan 2.0, empowered by multiple advanced technologies

PowerTitan 2.0 features multiple core innovative technologies such as cluster level management, liquid cooled temperature control, AI cell monitoring, and DC arc pulling, significantly improving the overall performance and operational efficiency of power plants.

AC storage integrates AC and DC, with refined cluster level management. The PCS is embedded in the battery compartment, which makes the battery cluster level management of the system more refined compared to the traditional external centralized PCS design, saves space, and improves the reliability and space utilization of the power station operation.

Advanced liquid cooling temperature control technology. The fully liquid cooled temperature control design of the battery pack+PCS effectively solves the problem of thermal management, reduces system energy consumption, reduces energy loss by about 30%, ensures that the temperature difference of the battery cells remains within 2.5 ℃, and greatly extends the service life of the battery cells and system stability.

AI holographic management of battery cell health. The 6D sensor collects and monitors battery cell health data, and uses AI algorithms for predictive analysis to identify battery cell failure risks in advance. Enable power station operators to perform precise maintenance and reduce sudden failures.

Leading DC arc pulling technology in the industry. When facing battery abnormalities, it can effectively prevent arc generation, with 100% accurate arc detection and rapid arc extinguishing within 0.2 seconds, improving the safety of energy storage systems.

30 day grid connection, fast delivery!

The person in charge of Hebei Yanzhao Xingtai Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. stated that the on-site grid connection of Sunshine Power PowerTitan 2.0 energy storage system only takes 30 days, and its integrated delivery capability far exceeds the industry average level. This is due to both hard power and soft power. In terms of hard power, the core equipment is integrated with three electrical systems and fully developed on the stack. Pre installation and pre commissioning are completed before leaving the factory, reducing installation and grid connection time by 50%; In terms of soft power, we have integrated delivery capabilities and a professional PMO team to provide full process tracking services, maximizing delivery speed.

The PowerTitan 2.0 energy storage system brings dual optimization of energy consumption and economic benefits to power plants. Through minimalist operation and maintenance, it is possible to save 450000 yuan in labor costs annually. A single station charge can store 240000 kilowatt hours of electricity, enough to meet the daily electricity needs of approximately 30000 households.

This project explores the complementary application of new energy storage combined with advantages, accelerates the construction of independent energy storage in Hebei Province, and alleviates the peak power supply pressure of Hebei Province's power grid.
