     Symbiotic resources refer to two or more mineral resources within the same deposit that have reached the standard of content and can be industrially utilized after economic and technological evaluation. Associated resources refer to mineral resources that exist in the main mineral resources, do not reach industrial grade, but can be comprehensively recovered and utilized in the selection and smelting process. For a long time, due to the limitation of comprehensive utilization capacity, some co occurring mineral resources in China have not been effectively developed. Therefore, in the new round of breakthrough strategic actions for mineral exploration, China has focused on carrying out a batch of comprehensive utilization technology research and development, in order to achieve the economic utilization of a large number of coexisting and low-grade mineral resources.

     Through resource re evaluation, the results of this round show that the national resources of 12 types of minerals in China, including gallium, germanium, and indium, have significantly increased. Compared with the existing resources, the increase in new resources of cobalt and rhenium has exceeded 100%, the increase in new resources of nickel and indium has exceeded 30%, and the increase in new resources of four types of minerals, including gallium, germanium, vanadium, and potassium salt, has exceeded 10%. The increase in resources of minerals such as gold, tantalum, rare earths, and zirconium is also significant. Among them, the newly added resources of gold mines exceed 1200 tons, equivalent to the discovery of 60 large mineral deposits; The newly added vanadium ore resources exceed 12 million tons, equivalent to the discovery of 12 large mineral deposits; The newly added potassium salt resources exceed 160 million tons, equivalent to the discovery of three large mineral deposits.

      The relevant person in charge of the China Geological Survey stated that through re evaluation work, the family background of co occurring and low-grade resources has been identified, which helps to break through and increase reserves and production in mineral exploration. A large number of "abandoned mines" have been transformed into "active mines", small mines have become large mines, and one mine has become multiple mines, effectively improving the domestic mineral resource guarantee capability.
