At present, more than 100 sets of production equipment have been installed in the industrial park, and multiple production lines have been put into operation. Zhu Xiaoxing further revealed that "the products required for the project are gradually being produced, and some products have already been produced. It is expected to start construction in March." The launch of this project marks a solid step for Leshan City in the layout of the new energy storage industry.
The 100MW/400MWh all vanadium flow battery independent new energy storage pilot demonstration project in Leshan City is a key provincial demonstration project in Sichuan Province. It is located in the Tuzhu Textile Park in Shizhong District, Leshan City, with a total investment of 1.4 billion yuan and an area of 44 acres. It is the first all vanadium flow energy storage power station in Leshan City, equivalent to a super "power bank". The power station charges during low electricity consumption periods and discharges during high electricity consumption periods, effectively achieving functions such as peak shaving, frequency regulation, and emergency backup, improving the reliability of power supply and ensuring the safe and economic operation of the power grid.
As an independent energy storage power station on the grid side of the all vanadium flow battery, the project will build new energy storage equipment areas, booster stations, comprehensive buildings, and ancillary facilities. After completion, it can consume 140 million kilowatt hours of new energy annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 139500 tons, which is of great significance for promoting regional energy structure optimization and ecological environment improvement.
As one of the first pilot demonstration projects for new energy storage in Sichuan Province, the implementation of this project is not only a major breakthrough in the application of new energy storage technology in Sichuan Province, but also a solid step and important milestone for Leshan City in the layout of the new energy storage industry. It will effectively alleviate the rapidly growing electricity demand of Leshan power grid, promote the development and consumption of new energy in Leshan city, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system. At the same time, this project will greatly promote the cultivation and development of the new vanadium battery industry, injecting strong impetus into the sustainable development of the regional economy.
